This is a company in a niche business, making customized products for their customers, and they are among the top 5 in the US in that niche. The Sales Manager position is a combo of key account selling, and management of several salespeople. What’s good about the company: · Great customer base includes Nordstrom’s, Boeing, Washington Mutual, US Bank, JP Morgan, Harley Davidson, and many others. A lot of repeat business. · Very solid financially, no debt. Continually reinvesting in equipment and technology. · Privately held; No need to make short-term decisions to puff up quarterly earnings. · Run by friendly people, this is a family-owned business where employees are treated like family, and the President believes work needs to be fun, too. · They have a history and culture of producing high quality products you can be proud to sell. AS 9000 certified, for example. · Very competitive turnaround times · Although position is in Seattle, they have many national customers, and can and do fulfill business nationwide on a timely basis. · Base product line is a very stable business. Qualifications: What the successful candidate will must offer: · A hunter mentality. Here are numerous opportunities out there for the firm, and this person and his/her team needs to be “on the hunt” to capitalize on them. · Experience managing salespeople in a hunter environment. Nice to have: · Experience in a customized product.
